Ahoj. Mhoro. Nyob zoo.
What do all of these words have in common? They all mean the same thing—hello!
Whether you’re a frequent traveler or just an aspiring polyglot, knowing how to say hello in different languages is bound to come in handy at some point. While it may not feel like much, greeting someone in their own language, especially as a traveler, sets you apart from the casual tourists. Your words show your willingness to go the extra step to appreciate someone else’s world as it is, rather than expecting them to conform to your world. It shows that you care.
